Rand is a founding partner of Delta-v Capital. Rand has ten years of venture capital investing experience most recently at Centennial Ventures where he was a Managing Director. While at Centennial, Rand’s investment focus included IT services, information services, software applications, communications infrastructure and services, and wireless. During Rand’s time at Centennial he led many investments. His investments include Accellos, FDN Communications/NuVox (Sold to WIN), Inflow (Sold to Sungard), Market Force Information, New Global Telecom (Sold to CMCSA), Optasite (Sold to SBAC), Tristar, and Zayo Group.
Prior to joining Centennial Ventures, Rand was an associate at McKinsey & Company where he served clients in telecommunications and additional industries. Rand started his career as a software engineer at US West.
Rand received his M.B.A. from The J.L. Kellogg Graduate School of Management at Northwestern University. He also holds a M.S. in Computer Science from The University of Colorado, and a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from Brigham Young University.
